WikiQis

Editorial policy

How WikiQis researches gaming memories, distinguishes evidence from interpretation, uses illustrations and corrects supported articles.

Answers with limits

Each WikiQis article gives its answer in the opening and separates three kinds of material: a sourced fact about a game or platform, a reasonable interpretation of that fact, and a question readers can explore in their own play. A memory study is not used to rank consoles, and a developer interview is not independent evidence that a game succeeded for every player.

We avoid universal claims that older games were better, predictions presented as reviews and invented personal experience. An unreleased or unplayed game is discussed through verified current facts and expectations, never a hands-on verdict.

Sources readers can open

Claims link to the page that supports them. We prefer official manuals and first-party developer interviews for game features, original research for findings about memory or social play, and public agencies for population data. Each story uses more than one source host so one publisher's account does not carry the entire answer.

The source list records when each page was opened. A source's method and population stay attached to its finding: an online survey of remembered play remains a study of those written memories, and a US teen survey does not silently become a claim about all adults.

Practical components

Replay comparisons, sketches and discussion prompts help readers separate design, setting and expectation. They are reflective activities rather than validated measurements. Suggested sessions use reader-chosen practical lengths unless a source establishes a meaningful duration.

AI assistance and illustrations

AI tools assist with research organization, drafting and original editorial illustrations. Before publication, newly written articles require a source review by a second, independent AI model. That review checks support, scope, usefulness, overlap and unsupported confidence; it is not human expert or developer approval.

Images are illustrative. They do not document a real game night, reproduce an official screenshot or show independent product testing. Named-game illustrations use original scenes and avoid weapons, armed characters and invented interface claims.

Dates and corrections

Publication and update dates remain blank until actual publication or substantive revision is established. A source access date records research work; it is not a publication date.

Report a possible factual error or broken source through the contact page with the article title, passage and supporting source. Confirmed errors are corrected in the article. WikiQis does not promise continuous monitoring.
